Radium Photo

Radium Photo was founded in 1909 by Charles Cihak and his brother Joe Cihak on Western Avenue in downtown Muskegon. In the early years, Radium Photo mainly specialized in selling photography equipment, portrait shooting, and eventually school portraits. In 1961, Charles Cihak II bought Radium Photo from his father, continuing in his fathers footsteps and keeping up with the times. While Radium Photo had multiple locations on Western Avenue, in the mid 1970′s, Radium Photo moved to its current location at the corner of Terrace St. and Clay Ave. Currently owned by Charles Cihak III, and managed by Charles Cihak IV, Radium Photo has grown from a once retail/portrait studio to the area’s leading professional photography lab, as well as the premier school portrait and sports photography business in West Michigan. 103 years young, and four generations strong, Radium Photo is the only of its kind in Michigan’s photographic industry.

Our downtown Muskegon location allows us to gaze upon beautiful Muskegon Lake and old Western Avenue. We are one of the area’s only professional Canon dealers, and we feature a vast selection of professional photographic equipment including tripods, camera bags, frames, and camera accessories. We cater to the professional and amateur photographer alike with our Fuji professional photographic lab.

Our experience speaks for itself when it comes to digital printing and cutting edge finishing services. Whether you are looking for digital albums, canvas prints, metallic images, or a vast array of digital print sizes, Radium Photo is the only place to go on the lakeshore. Honesty, integrity, and killer customer service will make you a client for life. Stop in and see us soon!
