The Muskegon Environmental Research & Education Society, (MERES) was formed in 1996 as an outgrowth of the Muskegon Conservation Club. It acquired land that was to become the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve in 1997. Since that time, the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve has served the environmental educational needs of 5,000 kids per year and been a sanctuary for some 4,000 people who just walk the trails of the Preserve. The Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve is located in North Muskegon, Michigan. It is on Lake Ave., just west of the intersection of Whitehall Rd./the Memorial Causeway and Lake Ave./ Holton Rd. The land that was to become the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve was donated at the end of 1997 to the Muskegon Environmental Research & Education Society. The former dump had huge piles of broken concrete and trash. With the help of generous contributors and many hours of volunteers, this dump was converted to a unique place in a urban setting, a nature preserve where citizens can walk and enjoy the many different kinds of birds and other wildlife. A place where school children can come and study the environment. A place where teachers can come and learn how to teach […]

Welcome to the 750 Bar and Grill (Seven Hundred & Fifty Degrees Grill). The name originated from the wood burning pizza concept and it is this concept that owner Bill Moulatsiotis was inspired by. For the last 12 years he has been serving Muskegon’s north side with pizza and sandwiches and it is with great pleasure that he and his staff continue to serve you here. The name Seven Fifty comes from the highest temperature of the oven that pizzas can be cooked at. The oven is wood-gas combination and custom built with the name spelled out in brick. Guests can enjoy local photography on the walls in the split casual dining section with booths and dim lighting which offers a cozy atmosphere. On the bar side you can grab a bite to eat and even stay and watch your favorite teams play on the selection of plasma televisions placed throughout the bar. Seven Fifty Grill offers guests a unique selection of appetizers, fresh salads, pasta creations, specialty sandwiches and a full-service bar all to be enjoyed in a smoke-free environment. Our entrees range from favorites like the Chicago grinder, Penne Pasta, and our savory Baby Back Ribs. We also […]
