Expand the Pere Marquette Boardwalk Campaign
Expand the Pere Marquette Boardwalk Campaign Pere Marquette Beach is one of Muskegon’s treasures. Shouldn’t all Muskegon residents enjoy it? We agree. Your donation can help. Disability Network West Michigan, the Community Foundation for Muskegon County, and people like you are getting together to raise money for a boardwalk across Pere Marquette beach. This will give people in our community unprecedented access to Lake Michigan. Donate today. Please consider purchasing a board to expand the accessible beach boardwalk at Pere Marquette Beach! The engraved boards are only $50, and includes free 20 characters of engraving. What a great way to remember a special person, anniversary or event in your life while at the same time expanding access to the beach for all! Thank you for your support! The photos below show a project we completed for an accessible walkway to the edge of Lake Michigan at Stearns Park in Ludington. We want the same for Muskegon residents. Our goal is to make it possible for everyone to be able to get to the water’s edge. Welcome to the 750 Bar and Grill (Seven Hundred & Fifty Degrees Grill). The name originated from the wood burning pizza concept and it is this concept that owner Bill Moulatsiotis was inspired by. For the last 12 years he has been serving Muskegon’s north side with pizza and sandwiches and it is with great pleasure that he and his staff continue to serve you here. The name Seven Fifty comes from the highest temperature of the oven that pizzas can be cooked at. The oven is wood-gas combination and custom built with the name spelled out in brick. Guests can enjoy local photography on the walls in the split casual dining section with booths and dim lighting which offers a cozy atmosphere. On the bar side you can grab a bite to eat and even stay and watch your favorite teams play on the selection of plasma televisions placed throughout the bar. Seven Fifty Grill offers guests a unique selection of appetizers, fresh salads, pasta creations, specialty sandwiches and a full-service bar all to be enjoyed in a smoke-free environment. Our entrees range from favorites like the Chicago grinder, Penne Pasta, and our savory Baby Back Ribs. We also […]

Opened in 1921 as the Rivoli, the theater switched to talkies in 1929 and was renamed Our Theatre in 1931.The theater did not receive its current name until 1965, when the Fonstein family purchased the theater. When the Dhuses family bought it in 1976, they retained the Harbor name.In 1977 a fire broke out in the theater, and the Harbor was gutted and closed. It reopened two years later, and in 1981 the cinema added an additional screen. The Harbor Theatre closed in June, 2001 after 80 years of showing movies for the Lakeside neighborhood citing increased competition from the Plaza 1 & 2, a second run theater in nearby Norton Shores. The Harbor Theatre reopened in March of 2008 showing a mix of independent and classic films, but because of rising costs closed in 2012. On August 1, 2013, Dan Taylor and Jason Tubergen of Holton Michigan leased the Harbor building, and reopened it on September 27, 2013. Along with an updated lobby, bathrooms, and new Digital projection system, they play every genre of film, from first runs to independents and even some classics. They also plan to do more special events as well such as comedy clubs, local bands and […]
